Rich Rodriguez was elected to the Board of Trustees of the American Football Coaches Association from 2005-2010. He has been renamed to the Board of Trustees as First Vice President in 2016. He was elected to the Board of Directors of The Foundation from 2006-2011. He has been reappointed as a Director in 2016.
Rich Rodriguez is entering is sixth season as head coach can the University of Arizona. In 2015, he led the Wildcats to a 7-6 record and a victory in the New Mexico Bowl against New Mexico. Coach Rodriguez has led the program to four consecutive bowl games and a Pac-12 Championship game. He was the head coach at the University of Michigan from 2008-2010. Coach rodriguez previously built a successful football program at West Virginia University (2001-2008). He led the Mountaineers to an 8-4 record and a berth in the Gator Bowl in 2004, and earned AFCA Regional Coach of the Year honors. Coach Rodriguez was Head Coach at Glenville State University and Salem College. In addition, he also served at Tulane University and Clemson University.
Coach Rodriquez and his wife, Rita, have two children.
